Ice rink
Our expertise
Installing a real ice rink in the heart of a city — on a plaza, a parking lot, indoors or outdoors, even on a building? Whether it’s small-scale, Olympic-sized, or designed in unique shapes (heart-shaped, ice trail, or toboggan run)?
In most cases, project feasibility is not an issue! However, it’s essential to take a few key factors into account when planning such a project:
The installation site
- Indoors or outdoors, in an arena, on a grassy, asphalted, or crushed-stone surface.
- A hard, flat, and level surface with no more than a 1 cm variation at any point, or corrected with a flooring system.
- A space large enough to accommodate the rink, the reception area, the technical zone, and the surrounding public area.
The economic factor
- An ice rink project must be tailored to the potential number of users within a 20 km radius or to the significance of the event taking place around the rink (for example, the size and importance of the Christmas market).
- The budget allocated for the rink rental project, including daily maintenance with a Zamboni to ensure ice quality comparable to that of the Bell Centre.
Technical requirements
- Sufficient electrical power to operate the equipment (600V / 300Amp / 3ph).
- An isolated connection point to the water supply network.
